Tradition

Where history meets modernity

Have you ever experienced the power of an inspirational Passover Seder with women of every generation? Would you consider welcoming Shabbat over dinner and drinks at a local restaurant? How about a bonfire on Lag Bomer? What is Lag Bomer? We strive to make ancient Jewish text and tradition come alive in ways that resonate with contemporary American culture. Join us for meaningful family Shabbat or adult-only gatherings created to bring Judaism to life.

May we join you on your Jewish journey?

Tradition is not stagnant. In order for traditions to hold meaning in a person’s life, they need to be dynamic, relevant, and engaging. Without these elements, they will merely become a part of our history. YourJewish adapts tradition by listening, inviting co-creation, and igniting our creativity to imagine how traditions might evolve in ways we’ve never seen before.

Listen

We want to hear and learn from you. What do you love about some of the Jewish traditions you’ve experienced? What are you longing for that doesn’t yet exist in your world? How can we help?

Collaborate

We embrace the talents, wisdom, and passion of our participants and invite active collaboration in the activities we hold. If you are interested in hosting an event or working with us to plan, or lead, the celebration you’ve been dreaming of, let us know. We’re here to work with you in developing meaningful experiences.

Create

We believe that creation is ongoing and it is incumbent upon us to continually engage in the act of creation by considering new ways of bringing ancient traditions to life. Each generation adds to that which we have inherited from those who came before us. It is an honor for us to find ways to bring new life to thousands of years of developing traditions.
